My nephew's birthday cake

17th November is dd's (9 yo) and my nephew's (7 yo) birthday. Since I'm travelling back home to celebrate my parent's anniversary, I made this owl for him to celebrate with him as well. He told me that he prefers cars than owl. Lucky I brought back some sugar paste home, he's happy with the new car I made with sugar paste....

50th Gold Anniversary cake

Made this cake for my parents to celebrate their 50th Gold Anniversary. Initial plan was supposed to be a three tier cake but last minute have to go out to shop for dd's 'gloves' which she lost and need it desperately for the following day concert. Due to time constraint, I've to make do with two tier. Am glad that everyone at home like it, the kids were all for Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

My Little Pony

ZR loves My little pony, here's the birthday cake for her to celebrate with her friends. She made the two pink colour flowers in front of the cake, she is proud of this as this is her creation (mummy got to learn from her, hehehe). After making this cake, me too love this little pony figure.

Strawberry shortcake cake

'S' forwarded to me the picture of a three tier strawberry shortcake and wanted something similar for today's party. Instead of three tier, we settled with two and this is what I came out with. I'm so glad to note from S that the cake was a big hit. Thank you S for making my day!

Anniversary Cake

Today is our 17th anniversary, how time flies. Had a chat with my friend J last week and got the idea of making wedding bells for this anniversary cake. Thanks J.

The two eggs in the nest are fruits of our love (my 2 kids). Thanks to dh who has been so loving, caring.... he's an excellent husband and father.

Not forgetting to thank my friend 'L' for the cake, I didn't bake this cake, she baked it and I just decorated it.

Wanted to make Strawberry cake but.....

......I have no clue how to get real RED colour whipped cream. No choice have to compromise with PINK instead (red + white = pink). Sigh!

A cake that I made sometime ago....

Am feeling bored and saw this cake picture that I made sometime ago. This is my very first figurine cake and I put them on an ice-cream cake!! As you can see the front part of the cake is melting (yes, I wasn't fast enough in decorating and wish I've an air-cond kitchen then).... and the troll is way too heavy for the melting ice-cream to support. From then on I started to play with sugar paste and making more and more out of it...... till now I'm still playing with this dough.

I have to thank a virtual friend V from USA who is so kind and patient to share her knowledge on this area. Thank you V.

Last minute

This morning received an sms .... after sending my kids to school, I started baking cake and gosh after the cake was in oven baking for about 10 minutes, then I realised that I didn't put butter in my cake!!! There it goes my cake.... Bought somemore fresh eggs and start baking again before my kids come back from school. In the afternoon when the kids are home, I started decorating as I needed it ready by evening. Since this is a last minute cake and I have no spare time to wait for the sugar paste to dry, so just put the circles on the cake.

Phew! Today is really a tired day for me, rushing here and there ....and tried to complete the cake in time.

Polka Dot handbag and shoe

Few weeks ago I received an enquired email if I take order. Since I enjoy doing cake deco and am free to take up this new venture, I agreed to do it for R. This cake is specially for her daughter and was told that she likes pink and purple. So I made this pink/purple polka dots handbag and shoes. Also added a bottle of nail polish and lipstick. Birthday girl's name is written on the shoes and initial "G" is on nail polish and lipstick.

Thank you R for giving me this opportunity to make and decorate cake again. Hope you and your daughter like it.

Castle Cake

Have wanted to try out castle cake and finally I get the chance to do it. Very long hours..... and the birthday girl likes blue, hence have all the window blue.

My children wanted me to add in Maple Story characters, so I used my free time to make a few Maple Story figurines for my kids to place them on the cake (they are two more characters not shown which were given to the birthday girl's sister for them to place on the cake).

Formula One

This cake is specially for 'J' who will be celebrating his 2nd birthday on 21st Sept, 2006. I've put his birthday date on the racing car, red car represents date (21), blue car is for the month (09) and yellow car shows the year (2006). Whereas the number 2 road refers to his 2nd birthday. They are three used tyres from the race, that's why they are all 'botak'... :)

Pig Pen

This is pig pen cake for a girl who will be celebrating her 11th birthday tomorrow (born in year of PIG). Took pictures of top, front and side views of the cake. Hope she will like this.

Twin BB boys

There are two milk bottles, two pacifiers, twins BB and added two 'star' to celebrate twins' full moon. I hope the parents like this cake as much as I do.

ZH's birthday cake

Today is ZH's birthday, made an ice-cream cake for him (as requested). Besides dragon, he likes penguins (so do I), so here's the penguins ice-cream cake to celebrate his actual birthday.

Wizard cake

Today ZH invited few of his classmates to celebrate his birthday. Instead of making him a dragon cake, I made a wizard cake. I'm glad that he is happy with this cake. Was worry that I'm unable to complete this mission as I've problem getting the figurines dry (due to wet weather), lucky yesterday and today are sunny and I made it.
