Piglets Party for XuanLing

Last month (June 2015), I made this cake for Xin Ling's sister (click here to view XinLing's cake).  I was asked to make 3 piglets and leave the rest of design to me.  I have added extra Piglets to make the cake more fun (which I have checked with XuanLing's aunt that I can do whatever I deem is nice).  Am happy with overall cake design.

Pink Big 1 Pooh & Friends

This cake was made last month.  Srinika's mum wanted something simple with pink/white colour combi and the rest she leave to me to decide.  Got to know that she likes two Pooh cakes I made before, hence I decided to make Pooh theme with combination of the designs she likes.

Giant Mushroom for Yee Yee's Birthday

This was made in January for Yee2 to celebrate her birthday..... Something simple.

Stacked up Presents cake for Gabriel

I was not able to made Gabriel's cake last year due to other cake commitments, instead I made a moulded Barney for Gabriel's auntie to put on the cake (Gabriel's dad told me that the auntie agreed to make the cake  later on), click here for the moulded Barney picture.  Click here for Gabriel's 1 year old cake with Pocoyo theme (link to the cake).

This year I received email from Gabriel's dad few months ago and he told me those characters Gabriel likes .... I have invested many hours in preparing this cake, time spent is well worth it as I myself like this cake very very much especially the Buzz lightyear and Woody (my first time making them...very pleased with the outcome).

3D Honeypot & Tree Stump for Cayden

Honeypot and Tree Stump are cake.  Figurines were freehand moulded.  My friend was asking me why I starve Pooh..... (I shall feed Pooh more next time, hehe). Cake size equivalent to two 7" round cakes.  Eeyore is my favourite, and I like to make him looks happier (unlike his usual look ....)

Pooh & friends Blessed with LOVES

Was asked to have pink cake for Valencia with Pooh theme.  V's mom leave all the design to me.... was thinking why not to have lots of Hearts & full of LOVES!!  

Tigger in Big Honey Pot

Was asked to make the same background as this cake with the change in figurines' position and coverring cake board with fondant. Cake size is 8"+5" two tier round cakes

Was told that party is at Hort Park with a lot of greenery.... this is the design I came out. Cake is 'yellow' colour with a bit of green colour added at the bottom edges and cake board, somehow it looks like lime green colour instead of yellow...

Sarah's 2D side balloons

Another cake I did last week.... last week till now was a roller coaster week for me..... rushing here and there + worries+............ I sincerely appreciate Sarah mom's understanding for change in collection venue and also thank my dear friend K for helping...... Till now, I am not able to stay focus... am sorry if I missed out some reply/accidentally deleted you emails....

Back to this cake, did it till midnight and slept for two hours and got up again to continue (as I need to rush back to see my dad....thank god he's better now). I have wrongly placed the numeric 1 on bottom tier cake instead of top tier and Sarah mom is kind to accept this. My apology for the mistake and thank you for you kindness. Am glad to hear from Sarah's mom when I came back that all are happy with the cake design and taste. Thank you.

Tigger Big Tail for Melcolm

I did similar design with green/orange/green colour earlier as requested..... had wanted to make the original blue/orange/blue colour.... (honestly if you asked me, I prefer blue and orange combination more than green and orange combi). As indicated earlier, I did not come out with the design, it was sent to me by Xarl's mom previously.... This cake was requested by Melcolm mother's friends and is a gift to Melcolm, was asked not to change anything except to add the birthday wishes (and of course the name of birthday child).

Bottom tier is a dummy (non-edible), only middle and top tiers are cakes.

Piglet with Heart

All I want to say is I love this cake.... love the heart so much.... will make this kind of heart again, perhaps other colour instead of red :)

Tigger & Mickey Joint celebration

This is for two brothers' celebration, Sheldon is turning 1 whereas Spencer is 3. Was told what characters to mould and needed the train for bottom tier cake.... their mom leave the whole design to me. Since there's no specific design, I've added extra figurines for this cake... no wonder I was thinking why I took so long to mould for this cake.....

This is for the nephew, Coen. Not a cake but is just name with freehand made burger to be placed on cheesecake made by A (her cake theme is Spongebob). Love these mini burger :)

Darby, Pooh & friends with stripes

Charmaine's mom specifically requested for the same design as the Pooh Big 1 I posted on 21.05.2010 (click on the link to see the previous cake). She also requested for some changes and wanted to have the cake board covered with fondant (see both pictures for the different with and without coverring the board ... personally I find it nicer to have it covered tho' it requires more work & time to do that).

Tigger cake for Xarl

Xarl's mom is very specific on what she wanted. She gave me picture of cake design she wanted (right hand side blue/orange/blue cake). Was asked to change blue colour to this green and change the tigger (there's another tigger picture given) and add the wavy white clouds and two green fishes. Honestly I was worry of the colour combination and glad that it turns out better than I expected. Would really love to try out this design with original blue/orange/blue colours as I have fallen in love with this design. Thanks to Xarl's mom for providing the source picture and the person who made Sem's cake. Thank you. Not forgetting to thank my buddy 'S' sister for the square cutter (it helps a lot in making this cake). A big THANK YOU to all of you. Btw, the bottom tier was not cake, it was a 'dummy' :)

Pooh on Bridge

After I completed this cake, my daughter was asking me why Piglet trying to get the beehive and not Pooh..... hmmmmmm I told her that Piglet is Pooh's buddy and that is why Piglet is trying to get that for Pooh (what a lame excuse.... reason is Pooh might be too heavy and the tree branch may not be able to support Pooh's weight...).

3D Tree stump for Pooh and friends

Sometime back in August last year, Hayden's (also Vanessa's) mom contacted me and asked me to make a cake for her baby Hayden's first birthday. Knowing she is an easy going lady and without much request on the design (after the experience I had when I made her older child Vanessa's cake, click link here to view the cake.... http://gladcake.blogspot.com/2009/07/vanessas-pm-with-farm-animals.html), I actually propose to her (when she sent the numeric 1 candle to me this month) that I am thinking of carving the cake into 3D tree stump shaped using same amount of cake batter for 8" cake.... as expected she is fine with it (see that is what I say she's an easy going lady, hehe). Though it requires more time to carve the cake and more fondant needed, overall I am happy how the cake turns out especially when she told me she likes it (she has no idea how the overall design will look like until the cake is done - since she left the design to me). I was really stress when I carry the cake downstairs as the swing keeps moving non-stop (was afraid that it may drop.... stress, on second thought, should I make the swing to really move next time....).

Pooh with music theme

Bernice's mom wanted Pooh theme with music elements added plus a big numeric 1 and in pink, purple and white colours. Of all the figurines moulded here, I like Eeyore most as he's really cheerful and happy with his guitar, unlike the cartoon Eeyore who is always gloomy (not all the time I'm able to get this result since they were freehand moulded).

After rain... sun and rainbow are out to celebrate Alexa's birthday party...... :)

Covered the cake board with fondant (I must say that having fondant on cake board really make the cake looks a lot better... but it's more work to me tho') and it's a sweet cake for sweet Baby Alexa to celebrate her very special birthday :)
