Barney & Friends with Extra Friends on Big Heart

A cake I made last week.  I love the Daisy Duck with her 3D eyelashes.  Cake size is 9" single tier round cake.

Last year Tricia had a 'Sweet Pink Elmo cake' (click link here to view the picture), this year Tricia's mom requested for Barney theme cake.  She leaves the design to me and mentioned that the cake need not be round shape (meaning I can do anything I feel is fit for the design).  I tried to have the cake colour requested though she did say that leave that to me too :)  Carving cake required more time to do, and more chocolate ganache and fondant needed..... that's why generally it will costs higher for carved/sculptured cakes.

Back to this cake, I got to see Tricia the sweet little girl again.... Happy Birthday Tricia!!!

Barney for Gloria

Met Gloria and she pointed at the cake and said 'Barney!'.  Am really happy that she can recognise the characters (it means a lot to me and confirm I didn't fail in making them, hehe)..... Gloria is such a cute and pretty girl.  Thanks for making my day girl :)  Hope you have great time in school.  Happy Birthday!!!

Stacked up Presents cake for Gabriel

I was not able to made Gabriel's cake last year due to other cake commitments, instead I made a moulded Barney for Gabriel's auntie to put on the cake (Gabriel's dad told me that the auntie agreed to make the cake  later on), click here for the moulded Barney picture.  Click here for Gabriel's 1 year old cake with Pocoyo theme (link to the cake).

This year I received email from Gabriel's dad few months ago and he told me those characters Gabriel likes .... I have invested many hours in preparing this cake, time spent is well worth it as I myself like this cake very very much especially the Buzz lightyear and Woody (my first time making them...very pleased with the outcome).

Barney's Friends Swimming in the Sea

Last year Talia had Barney theme for her birthday (click here to view last year's cake picture).  This year I was asked to make same Barney theme as Talia likes Barney very much.... I also noted that Talia likes swimming. Cake size is equivalent to 8"+6" round cakes (instead of made the cake round shapes, I carved the cake and made buckets using cake since Talia's mom leave design as well as cake colour to me....).

Last year Giselle had a Sesame theme cake (click link here for last year's cake). This year I was asked to make Barney and his two friends with a slide and a seesaw......

Barney figurine NOT cake

Gabriel's dad emailed me and wanted to get a Barney cake for Gabriel's second birthday celebration (made Gabriel's Pocoyo cake last year). I feel bad that I couldn't not make it for this year, hence I offer to make this Barney figurine.... Gabriel is lucky to have his auntie to bake for him his birthday cake. Though I do not have the opportunity to see my freehand moulded figurine on someone's bakes but am happy that Gabriel is blessed to have such a nice auntie to do it for him. Nothing beat bakes out of love.....

Pardon me for the poor lighting picture.... was told that Talia likes to have Barney theme and also likes to look at animals.... added the dog and cat with duckies bathing with one of the dino :) Love the moulded cat and dog (they blend in well with Barney theme).

It has been a very busy/rush days for me lately..... Due to some unforseeable circumstances, Jewwel has to celebrate her birthday earlier....

I have challenged myself to add the 'spotlight' effect on the stage.... here are the pictures to show with and without the lights on.... hope you can see the different.

Am happy that I finally able to meet up with the pretty birthday girl (yeah, Dani's mom brought her along to meet this auntie who did her cake last year). Was specially requested to have the cake board covered with fondant.

Pooh with Big star

David's mom wanted a Pooh theme cake for photo taking session. She specifically requested for the cake colour to be light blue with stars and cloud. She leaves the position of those figurines to me.... the big star is not in her request, thought it will be fun to have a big star with pacifier since this is for baby. Happy Birthday David!

Barney for Renee

Time flies... it has been a year past since I made Renee's garden cake last year. I still remember last year I worked till mid-night to complete all the cuppies and cake. Renee's mom specially requested for the name on presents and with lots of tiny hearts.
