Bubble Guppies for Edna

This cake is specially decorated for my friend's daughter EDNA.  I didn't bake the cakes.  My friend sent her cakes over to my place.  The rest (from covering the cakes, moulding figurines, added extra details) were all done by me.  A very tall and heavy cakes when it's done.  All I know is I spent many hours on all the details.  Don't think I have the energy and time to do the same design again... by the time I finished the whole cake, I was tired and exhausted, haha... age is catching up.

Last year Javier had an animal theme cake, this year requirements is very specific with the details needed.... Took me quite a while to complete the coconut tree....and I am very happy with the end result... love it!

Humpback whale, Dory and Nemo

I was searching from internet for whale's picture in Nemo movie... oh boy, hardly any (spent hours in looking for it). In the end, I decided to use Humpback whale as a guide to mould it.... hip hip hooray, am really happy to see how the whale turns out with his blowhole (I think can't see it clearly in my picture) and different shade of colour for it's body. Since Dory and whale to be the main characters, hence Nemo is left swimming behind Dory :)

Nautical theme with Snoopy

Mei Xuan's sis sent me a picture of hers with big black framed spec. I was trying to make black spec but it didn't turn out nice (at least to me), hence I changed it to big gold frame specs. As Snoopy was requested to be there, I purposely made the girl figurine's head bigger than the body to have the cartoonish effect. Glad to hear that she likes it.

Dolphin with Pooh

Sorry for the delay in uploading the picture.... this was done last weekends but am really busy lately. Asher's mom leave the whole design to me with only cake theme and cake size (from the emails I understand that Asher likes 'fish'), that's how the Dolphin joined in the party. Glad to hear that they like the cake :)

We (my daughter and I) were playing with this and here's our joint-venture project during school holiday... mummy did the front part and girl girl did the back part of the cake (she made the octopus, shell with pearl, fish and star). We surely have fun with this mini tiny cake.

Under the Sea

Of all cakes I've made thus far, I like this most. Light blue is my favourite colour....This has 360 degree view.

This is specially for dd's buddy who has a hermit crab as her pet. After making the 'cartoon look alike hermit crab', I continue to add other sea creatures and dd also helped making some clams and sea turtles. Although we have spent quite a lot of time on this cake, we find that the time was well spent after seeing the cake. Oh yes, I've forgotten the air bubbles last night (can see from one of the picture without the bubbles) and added them only this morning. I think the effect is nicer with air bubbles.... don't you agree with it :)
