A special cake for S and A

This cake was made middle of last month aka last year for friend's ROM in Singapore.  Initially hubby suggested a wedding cake but the wedding dinner was held in KL and we were in KL few days before the wedding dinner.  Hence we decided to have ROM cake instead since it is held in Singapore :)  The design was not mine, was modified from picture I saw from internet.  Original design with only the top two tiers without the hearts and ruffles tier (I added them... I must admit that the ruffles tier took me very long to complete, labour intensive tier, haha).  Glad that S and A like it.  Red Velvet cake flavour.  I like the overall cake result ^.^

Golf Cap for Jim

Made this Golf Cap shape cake for Jim.  Before cutting the cake, adults were having FUN signing the cap with birthday wishes written (picture on the right).  Jim's wife wrote "爱你一生一世" (so sweet!!).

Orange Bag Cake

Veges Soup Pot

Painted the side of the Pot based on my Corning ware pattern :)  I am quite happy with it for someone who didn't attend any painting class other than what I learnt during my school days time.  The rest of veges were freehand made.  Pot is cake.

Vintage Sewing Machine for Mum

This is a very special cake I made for mum.  I don't know how much time I spend in making this..... weather is really not very good then and the black fondant is so sensitive to wet weather..... used lots of black fondant.  I am so happy that every like this especially my dearest mum.  Looking at mum's joyful face, worth every minute spent in making this!!  Now is time to rush for my CNY cookies and Lapis cakes........ running out of time.....

Tender Love Care (TCL) bears .... Four bears giving all their TLC to the birthday bear.  That's why all the hearts in the design :)

Tall Superman for Gadafi

All the details in this cake were made of fondant. The two previous cakes I made was kiddy theme (spongebob in Jan 2010 and Minnie with her pink car in Jan 2011), was trying to make the cake not so kiddy look and have the skyline as the side decor (like the skyline and moulded Superman). Take longer time than I expected to complete this. Cake size is 10" round cake.

Cosmetic Bag for 50th Birthday

Jaishaan's mom emailed me and wanted a cake for her auntie to celebrate 50th birthday. She requested for numeric 50 and cake colour either light pink/light purple/yellow. The rest of the design leave to me..... I was thinking why not have a cosmetic bag to go with it, hence comes the lipstick, compact powder, pearls necklace etc......

This is one of my favourite, like the final result. Something different from the usual kiddies cake designs I used to make..... Am glad that P likes the cake and she told me that the design suits the aunt.. Am happy eventhought this week is a real busy week for me...
