F1 Red Bull Team for Joshua

Made this cake last week....  Did Disney car theme cake for Joshua's brother (ie Cayden)  in May 2012 (click link here to view Cayden's cake).  It's really nice of Joshua's mom to leave the entire design to me from cake colour to design (was only told that the theme should be F1 and Joshua likes Red Bull team).  Since the brother's cake is red, I thought I shouldn't have the whole cake red then....

This picture was sent by Joshua's mom.  I like the background .... isn't it COOL?  Thank you C for sending this picture as well as cake picture with Joshua :)  I notice that the driver is seated in this picture and ready to Zooooooooooooom.

Sculpted Bumblebee Car with Optimus Prime figurine

Bumblebee car was sculpted from 8" square cake whereas Optimus Prime was moulded from fondant... it was really stressful these few days..... Told 'S' in advance that I can only make a simplify optimus prime and with my skill I am not able to do as detailed as per the toy. This theme is not my strength.

Pororo the penguin with transport theme

First time making Pororo figurine (sorry off hand forgotten the name.... the little penguin and the pink friend), I find them cute, love to mould them. This cake is big and heavy, 10"+8" two tier round cake.... I was looking at the Thomas train again and again and was thinking why I need so many hours just to finish one train.... I think I'm fussy in making it.... trying to get all things right.... might have to consider simplify it in future :)

Scupture 3D car

Freehand drew the prancing horse logo.. not very big and I did it very carefully... yipee am glad that I got it right with one attempt... hope I can get the same result if I've chance to do it again (am never good in drawing...).

Mickey, Airplane & Moon

Was requested to make either Mickey or Barney pilotting the airplane (I've opted for Mickey tho' it takes longer to make Mickey compare to Barney). I am very happy with how this Mickey turned out (so far, this is the best Mickey I've ever moulded, at least to me.... hope I can maintain this if not better as it's freehand moulded). Also added the 2D fire engine as it's one of Randall's favourite and some moving cars around the side of bottom tier.

Happy Birthday Randall!

I just realised that I've not gone for shopping for long time as I spent most of my free time doing moulding.... guess I've to cut down on this and have some 'my' time. I am sorry if I've to turn anyone down for future requests.

A thank you cake

There is a story behind this cake. Long story cut short.... we would like to thank Dr Jean (ie Jonathan's dad who is a lecturer in NTU) for his helps extended to my sister and her family few months back eventhough we do not know him in person. A very BIG THANK YOU to you and your family :)

Happy 5th Birthday Jonathan!

P/s: Thank you for the mooncake and cookies too :)

Formula 1 with Baby driver

Enzo's mom requested for Ferrari car and Baby Driver and to have a cute looking cake... and some space for the No 1 candle to be placed on cake. I therefore made the baby driver sitting on the car (not driver seat tho'). Instead of having champagne to celebrate the victory, baby would prefer to have his 'milk bottle'.

Enzo's mom is really easy going.... after having the car and baby done, I added some elements to make the cake looks cute. Rabbit and tortoise race came in my mind, instead of having them race, I let the rabbit pushed the small car (since there's no driver in it) and tortoise leading the road with the help of little rat in the trophy (Enzo is born in the year of rat) . The side of bottom tier with some 2D racing cars (can't see all of them from this picture).....

Wheels on the Bus

Travis's mom approached me long time ago on his second birthday cake (here's the link to his first birthday cake I did last year). Anticipating longer hours needed to complete carved cake, I woke up very early morning and started working on the cake..... Am glad how this bus turned out (initially was toying between the red bus or the yellow bus with dino.... they aren't many pictures on Wheels on the Bus in the internet that I can refer). Guess what, I have forgotten to put some red paste on top of the wheel (I don't know what it's called), realised that before I went to bed last night but too bad, Travis's mom already collected the cake for today's celebration.... Btw, the Elmo was requested to add in (and I put in extra one more Elmo since I've time to mould another one).

Happy Birthday Travis!

Baby Driving

Of all the figurines I've made so far, I like this baby driving most. Thanks to TL's mom for allowing to mould anything (she only requsted for an animal and a stuff to represent sport). The dog is on skate board, after moulding, find that the dog is too big for the skate board or rather the skate board is too small for the dog, hence I added a big soccer ball to the cake.

Anderson's car & train

Specially made the baby in car for Anderson... he's so cute and I can't help myself to mould this baby. The empty space next to the car is for No 1 candle. Happy Birthday Anderson!

Car

Was asked to make it as girly as possible as it's for Jana. Squirral was crossing the road and oh no.... car is coming, tortoise was shocked looking at that....no worry, car has slowed down for it to cross safely.
