Ice Castle in North Mountain

This cake was made last week.  Frozen toy figurines were provided by Aeris's mum.  She let me design the entire cake.  Thought of North Mountain in the movie.... Carved the cake to look like North Mountain and made Ice Castle to place on the cake.  Also added lights behind the castle....

Like the effect when I turn on the light ^.^

Elsa & Olaf for Mia

Time flies ... Mia is 5 now.  Sometime ago Mia's mum asked if I could make her Elsa doll cake and she is providing me with the doll (she pointed at a doll design she likes).  As Elsa's gown is rather slim fit type, I have tried to carved the cake smaller and have to upsize the cake to 9"+7" equivalent for this design... (two tier cakes and Elsa's gown are made of cakes).  Am happy that Mia's mum likes the cake.  To view the past cakes I made for Mia, please click the link on title of cakes.....

Dual Celebrations with Giant Cupcake, Popcorn and Cake

This cake was made last week and I accidentally deleted my whole album (pictures all gone).  I only left with these two pictures from another hp (better than none).  Cake size is equivalent to 8"+5" round cakes. Specially made for Sarah (for her full month celebration with Minnie's milk bottle & pacifier) and elder brother Joshua (for his second birthday with Mickey but I have no time to mould toy for him).

Picture below was taken before the finishing touch ..... can you spot the different ^.^

Eiffel's Clubhouse Cake theme

I remember Eiffel's cake so well for last year (same name with same theme cake last year... it was for Eiffel's full month celebration, click here to view the picture).  It is almost a year now.... time flies....

Few weeks before the party, Eiffel's mom & dad sent me those little Disney toys they bought.  Really like those toys, the Donald Duck has a float with it.  First thing cross my mind was "water" for this cake (afterall Eiffel's mom leaves the entire design to me. So I decided to carve the cake).  The two pink and red ball with 'tranparents Mickey and Minnie' supposed to glow after shaked (I didn't test it out though).

My Very First Kungfu Panda theme cake

Remember there is a scene in the movie where Master Wugui talked to Shifu at the rock mountain and he later disappeared?  Having that in mind and recall there was a tree... ta-da, this is what I came out with for this Kungfu Panda theme cake for Angus

Angus mom provided the Panda.  She left the overall design to me, cake size is 10"+6" round cakes (I carved the cake to rock shape and slope as F left it to me to do anything I deem is fit for the design).  After I received the Panda (glad that she gave me much earlier as the Panda toy was not able to stand on its own), and I added the freehand moulded Tigress and Shifu.  Love how the moulded figurines especially Tigress and the tree.  This is my first experience in moulding this theme figurines and coincidentally Angus's previous cake was also my first time moulding for Handy Mandy theme (click link here to view the previous cake picture).

Barney with Mushrooms

Last year Tricia had a 'Sweet Pink Elmo cake' (click link here to view the picture), this year Tricia's mom requested for Barney theme cake.  She leaves the design to me and mentioned that the cake need not be round shape (meaning I can do anything I feel is fit for the design).  I tried to have the cake colour requested though she did say that leave that to me too :)  Carving cake required more time to do, and more chocolate ganache and fondant needed..... that's why generally it will costs higher for carved/sculptured cakes.

Back to this cake, I got to see Tricia the sweet little girl again.... Happy Birthday Tricia!!!

Stacked up Presents cake for Gabriel

I was not able to made Gabriel's cake last year due to other cake commitments, instead I made a moulded Barney for Gabriel's auntie to put on the cake (Gabriel's dad told me that the auntie agreed to make the cake  later on), click here for the moulded Barney picture.  Click here for Gabriel's 1 year old cake with Pocoyo theme (link to the cake).

This year I received email from Gabriel's dad few months ago and he told me those characters Gabriel likes .... I have invested many hours in preparing this cake, time spent is well worth it as I myself like this cake very very much especially the Buzz lightyear and Woody (my first time making them...very pleased with the outcome).

Barney's Friends Swimming in the Sea

Last year Talia had Barney theme for her birthday (click here to view last year's cake picture).  This year I was asked to make same Barney theme as Talia likes Barney very much.... I also noted that Talia likes swimming. Cake size is equivalent to 8"+6" round cakes (instead of made the cake round shapes, I carved the cake and made buckets using cake since Talia's mom leave design as well as cake colour to me....).
